Fun, and a nice dark entry to the bright dc world.

I had low expectations Because I honestly didn’t really enjoy the other DC movies aside from the first wonder woman movie. But I did enjoy Black Adam’s more than I expected. It was funny and kept me and the audience laughing. I enjoyed watching a different type of super hero than the usual “white knight” versions. \rI hope DC will continue to build the black Adam’s character and not change him.

Overall, the movie was pretty good. The actors were strong and the action was great. A little too much screen time given to the kid, but I understand that was to symbolize and mirror the relationship and the heart of Black Adam and his son. Looking forward to seeing more and appreciated all the connectors to the larger DC Universe.

My expectations were low, but I'm glad to say that it was better than I thought. Was I blown away? No. The story was mediocre, some of the cgi looked goofy, and the use of slow motion at certain points (although it made the shots look great) felt unnecessary. The was great, the cinematography was phenomenal, and I truly believe that this movie set a new standard of how superhero fights should be.
