The movie was well made, it had good humor in the first half and a gritty and gory depiction of war in the second half. The orchestral sound had a big impact on the visceral battle scenes. The only drawback was at times the battle scenes could be over the top and the gore was almost comical at times.

Incredible acted story and directing. A Tour de Force.

My movie experience was intense, powerful and worthwhile! It was an interesting story and viewers can't be sympathetic and impressed by the protagonist, Desmond Doss. Even though WWll is referred to the "good war," it makes clear the incredible waste of human life resulting from the decisions made by our leaders. Has there really EVER been a "good war"? I was overwhelmed by all the carnage!
