Sensationalized. Emotions manipulated not enough story line. Pollyanna

A little too cheesy, it was unintentionally comical.

Good story but extremely sappy and not well acted.

Some strong football action and a decent third act can't save this movie from being anything more than a sports movie that goes through the motions and checks all the boxes. A stronger supporting cast and a more nuanced script would have helped. As for Steinmark, they would have been better served to humanize him a bit more rather than make him out to be the kid who could do no wrong.
