Incredibly effective, and interesting in the way it weaves around the idea of whether a case needs to be personal or based simply on the ideals of law. I hope it would change someone's mind, but I fear it skews too far to the left to ever pull someone over. That said, the way it addresses Couch's perception of duty, equality, and Constitutionality was incredibly resonant right now, and I hope many people allow themselves the chance of hearing his words.

This is one very fine movie. So well-adapted from the source material. Terrifically-acted by all. The only thing I'm on the fence about is the cinematic device of changing the aspect ratio during the Guantanamo scenes, but what's done is done. I know it was done to emphasize the claustrophobia of Guantanamo Bay, but the technique was somewhat successful in it's' intent. Still, a great movie that I would recommend. Takes its' place alongside Judas and the Black Messiah as one of the best movies I've seen in 2021.

Movie was a bit slow at times. Problems with spooling, unable to cast, captioning too small, and watermark on screen were negatives.

It's overall a good film. Very by-the-book and it doesn't really offer anything new in terms of artistic merits but it shines a light on horrible injustices and violations of human rights that sadly keep happening without real regulations.
