Great nostalgia, funny/cool cameo surprises, good rhythm, interesting plot BUT villains were underused and would have benefited from having good dialog and feel more than a simple physical menace.

It had heart, something DC sorely needed.

I was not expecting this movie to be as good as it was. I enjoyed the experience and found the movie funny. I am glad they brought back old actors. I watched the flash show many years ago and was skeptical of the new actor because I love the actor from the show so much, but the new actor for Barry Allen did great and added to the viewing experience.

In the age of cinematic heroic storytelling, The Flash is not as generic as it portrays. The film strikes such emotional stakes, visuals, choreography, and acting yet it seemed that the expectations leading to this film did not do its justice. It left me feeling unsatisfied; like something was missing. Overall a welcomed new film that would leave fans excited for what DC will offer next.
