This is the first Sean Penn film I've seen, ever. I am quite surprised that it's really good. The film is well acted, though I don't like the fact that Idris Elba shows up pretty much at the end of the film. He's the reason I wanted to see it.

Great movie! Would have given it 5 out of 5 stars but the ending, although a happy one did not seam realistic, the protagonist should have still been in jail after his crimes despite his doing the right thing at the end. The acting in the film was great! It was a smart movie about a good man who did bad things trying to make good, stay alive and live happily ever after with the woman he loves.
