Trainspotting 2 is very much a sequel, but it is its own film, not trafficking in the nostalgia of shooting up heroin and fencing stolen property to bankroll criminal activities, as so many sequels these days tend to do.It's also a very good movie about these four guys who are trying to relive their youth and who cannot let go of the past.

This movie was definitely funny and it covered so much ground such as: Comedy, sex, passion, drugs, Love, extortion, dishonesty, friendship and loyalty to a point. The acting was beautiful and the soundtrack was very catchy!!! I can't wait to see the first part on DVD (which I have not seen yet). The movie plot seems to have left it open for a trilogy?--suppose only time will tell.

What a rollcoster ride. I did enjoy the film...even though I did not watch the first one.With some of the audience reaction (when a actor came on screen) you could tell thatthey must have been in the 1st movie.

An enjoyable follow up to a world and characters worth revisiting...although the plot was slightly under developed
