The movie was the perfect length to interact and become part of the period of the Roman invasion of the East. The actors and actresses were perfect

This was not Gladiator and I'm glad. This movie said on it's own as amazing. From the very beginning the action pulls you in and the story never lets you go. Knowing the first movie definitely creates nostalgia and let's you know a little more about the characters, but even if you didn't see the first movie you can easily fall in love with this one.
