super exciting for a film about a chess tournament!

I thought it was a very good movie, although I did think it would be a bit better. Toby and Michael Stuhlbarg were both great.

Another great acting job by Tobey Maguire! The first half of the film is captivating, however the second half drags on. Then comes the ending—which is tragically anti-climatic. I really wish they had spent more time on not only the unraveling psyche of Fischer, but his opponent, Spassky as well. They hint at this towards the end of "the big match" showdown, but never elaborate on it.

Great story, the actors in it were great. Way too long.
