A visually beautiful version of the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension, RISEN was still a bit "slow". My friend fell asleep as well as someone a couple seats over. I enjoyed the "down-to-earth" perspective of seeing how people of that time would have lived and felt about the coming Messiah. Cinematography was stunning.

Good movie, picture was amazing & I learned stuff I did not know. Like how they added some raw comedy in there made it enjoyable. Makes me want to.research & read more into what happened after the Risen.

I liked the movie. It really gave me a sense of what life was probably like in that time.

I liked the different perspective and point of view that this film offered of the resurrection story. For the most part I think it fit well with the story of the bible. However, I think some parts were very slow and did not flow well with the story. The interrogation scenes were somewhat irrelevant or dragged on too long. Over all this was a good film and I would recommend it to friends and family.
