The cast was FANTASTIC, with so many phenomenal people playing small roles! I really enjoyed the plot up until the very end. I get the reasoning for it, but the last 30 or so minutes the movie took a turn that I didn't care for. The main negative about this movie, and the reason I didn't give it five stars is because it's been one of those years where I feel like all we've seen is the horrible side of human nature, with very little good. This movie continues that, and right now many people need movies to be an escape, not a constant reminder of what we're currently living through.

Carey was fabulous

The movie, Promising Young Woman is definitely not for kids... elements of You... That was one strange and disturbing movie! Great cast, kicking soundtrack, jarring transitions almost like two movies in one, and an ending I did not see coming. I’d describe it as brilliant, deranged, timely and anger-inducing. Plus a big middle finger to Brett Kavanaugh and his ilk, and to rape culture as a whole.

Timely and important. Mulligan brought it in the perfect way.
