The film was well cast with singers (though the autotune, i.e. Leslie Grace's voice, was too much.) The frame story reveal was cheesy. I'm sad about the cut songs, especially Sunrise and Inutil. It took a long time to get into the opening number. The numbers seemed too disparate like they were all individual music videos instead of one cohesive film. Didn't like the changes to Nina's backstory.

If I didn't know the musical like the back of my hand, I think I would've enjoyed it a little more. Had I never seen it before, I 100% would've given the movie 5/5. Artistically, it was a masterpiece. The plot though? I wish they hadn't made so many changes to the original script or cut out characters and songs.Gregory Díaz IV DELIVERED.
