My only complaint is that it was so predictable from the beginning - the old push & pull.

This movie was fun and entertaining, but it felt super campy and disjointed. The best part about the book is how exaggerated and parodic it felt. Give me a rom-com but also give me Eleanor being the pettiest and meanest mother! I wish there was more focus on the family. I think a person coming into this movie without the context of the book would be missing out in the drama of the family.

I read the book and was disappointed in the movie overall. It’s expected that there will be adaptations to the story when converting from a book to screenplay but even so, there really wasn’t enough character development for the main characters and even some side characters that I thought were important, especially Astrid and michael. The quality of the film/cinematography also not crisp & vibrant
