Thoroughly enjoyed Jon M. Chi’s “In the Heights”. It’s a hopeful and heartwarming, if overlong, story about culture, dreams, and community that will connect to all audiences. Thank you for making this film!

The adaptation from stage to screen was surprising! I love the how the characters were further developed and their stories. I did miss Mrs. Rosario and some of the songs from the play but this was a great revision of the story. I also loved the Hamilton Easter egg and extras from the original ITH Musical Broadway cast here. I enjoyed both versions of the story with the stage being my preference.

In the Heights has fantastic musical numbers, magnificent choreography and clever lyrics. The representation of Latin heritage is proudly shown at the forefront, feeling the warmth of their family in the neighbourhood. There are many goosebumps inducing scenes, memorable sequences and the film does a great job building an emotional connection with the characters. The personal film touches on so ma
