What an amazing story of an American hero. The production was intense, full of the graphic details of war and the compassion of the soldiers. Well worth seeing!

It was great. The character development was wonderful. My only complaint is that the movie starts to drag a little in the middle, but once the action begins it is non stop.

A must see

I have to say that I was surprisingly impressed with 'Hacksaw Ridge'. The film is incredibly violent, perhaps more so than 'Saving Private Ryan', but despite the graphic nature of the film I thought the production value was top drawer. Andrew Garfield should be campaigned for awards. He literally disappears into the role of Desmond, I've never seen him in a role with wider range than this.
