I absolutely LOVED this film! Sally Hawkins performance was extraordinary and Ethan Hawke was amazing. The short film at the end showing the real Maudie was breathtaking.

Liked the movie. Good story, very good acting for both main characters. Somewhat of a slow ending.

Maudie is a beautiful story of how one can overcome physical beauty with talent. This woman was formidable she did not let her physical appearance deter her from her belief in self despite having a truly male dominated husband. She succeeded in transforming him somewhat and allowing him and herself to experience love which is a beautiful thing Everyone should see this movie.

I liked the movie, I found Sally Hawkins excellent in her portrayal, Ethan Hawke was also a good fit for his part but on occasion his acting seemed to be channeling actor Thomas Haden Church and that had me wondering what that actor would bring to the same role.. Overall, Maudie was a great little film and I really enjoyed the journey and life's tribulations that the artist had to endure.
