Easy to get into, funny and sad at some parts. 3 stars

It's far from a bad film. It actually is pretty good but all the best parts of the movie are directly pulled from the animated version.\rThere are "some" good chances throughout the film, mostly with Nani's character who is a bit more fleshed out than the 2002 classic. \rI did also find the pacing to be rushed in some places but it might be because of my familiarity to the original.

The movie does a good job at keeping with the original in certain areas. Like most new Disney live actions it misses the character development that makes us fall in love with the main character. The actor for LILO was perfectly cast. There was no need to turn Jumba into an antagonist. Captain Gantu should’ve been in the movie and the ugly duckling scene should’ve been included.

Enjoyable movie but can't quite match the charm of the original.
