We liked this different perspective of what young non-Jewish people in WW2 dealt with and the limited choices they had in that time period. Usually movies with the need to read subtitles are not a favorite of ours, but this time it was ok.

Really interesting to hear this POV of the Holocaust...Sometimes confrontational, at other times sympathetic. The Human Experience revealed through the lens of the most horrific time in history.

I watched this film with my 13 year old son who is reading Anne Frank's diary for school. We agree that we learned a lot and there was a lot of meaningful dialogue throughout. We both found the moment the one German soldier was discussing his past with teenage students very intense. The varying viewpoints were eye-opening. It's great that the producer was able to find all these people to be in the film and document their thoughts. It was overall perhaps a little dry, but that's the nature of a documentary sometimes.
