exciting but difficult to follow in some parts

I enjoyed this movie as was creative and extremely entertaining.

The CGI was tremendous. Had excellent "weight" rather than a lot of other movies where CGI is hollow and synthetic feeling. The live action segments were cheesy and poorly acted.

Having not read the book I found this film enjoyable but a little simple. According to my boyfriend who has read it , it was not a very good adaptation which is too bad. I wanted to know more about the back story of the creator of the Oasis but the film is definitely a tribute to 80's pop culture. Fun overall but a little boring in parts. Thus my 3/5
