This movie was too long. I believe the story could have been told in 1.5 hours instead of 2. Other than that it was a great story, and incredibly sad. There were some very cheesy parts to it, but it was still a good movie.

Great story but was a little slow at times. No back story about the dad-why did he push him so hard? What happened to girlfriend? Did they marry? A short recap would have née nice at the end.

I liked it, I like that it taught vales of excellence, and a good strong family. He had high morals, was polite, and tried to do his best, brought other people up. ...I'd let my kids watch it.

Beautiful cinematography. Wonderfully acted. The storyline wasted too much time on football scenes but not enough time developing all the characters and why we should care about them. Would love to have understood the father better, or what drove the coach, the girlfriend, the best friend. Would have made for better storytelling and a better movie.
