Interesting. Director's choice of "authentic" sound of pilots' conversation while wearing masks made it hard for the audience to understand. Flashback scenes caused confusion for viewers. A lot of mumbling in the audience because many could not follow. Pilot's decision to ditch so far away from friendly and closer into enemy area did not make sense and therefore did get the affect wanted.

It was suspenseful because there was no background given to the characters, so the movie seemed to take place in the moment. The cinematography was fantastic. I would have given it 5 stars, but sometimes I was confused. For example, I couldn't tell which airplane was which in the air; and when the three young men ended up on the beach, at first I thought they had made it all the way home.

Looked forward to seeing it, exceeded my expectations. I like movies based on a true stories and historical events. Told the story very well. Very realistic action, no need for overwhelming digital effects to show action or gory scenes. It is left up to your imagination.

The movie was good.BUT the theater had the volume raised TOO LOUD to the point the audience would almost block his ears because it would hurt!
