I would say "The Danish Girl" was ok. It probably would've done better as an HBO Movie rather than a theatrical release. It was very heavy handed overall.Eddie Redmayne is a really good actor. This was the first movie of his I saw. The change from Einar to Lili was all in the eyes, the voice and the gestures. Reedman did a really good job.

I really enjoyed the chemistry and the romance between the couple, but I was left wondering more About Lili. The movie defenitely lacked on that. Lili was courageous, beautiful and sweet and playful but I still wanted to know more about her life, her personal choices, her desires. But overall I really enjoyed this movie.

I think the director did a great job filming the movie in different point of views. From "Lilli's" and "Gerda's" point of view. Also I know there was a scene change Denmark to Paris, I wish there was little more captivatity of the scene change. This movie made me want to read the book written by lilli.

I didn't know anything about Lili Elbe before seeing The Danish Girl, but I'm so glad I do now. We have a long way to go as a society in terms of transgender rights, acceptance and respect. The Danish Girl offered an emotionally affecting (if somewhat glossy and manicured) portrayal of what was obviously a heart wrenching and incredible journey.
