At times satirical, Emma reflects on a rich young woman's emotional and intellectual growth. The various relationships and the British accent present a bit of a challenge for me, though.

Hard to hear/understand dialogue but still enjoyed the movie.

It was true to the written story, and over all the character buildup was great. My favorite among all characters was Miss bates, and how at first she was a character who was funny but a bit much compared to the rest, then you learn to love her. However I felt the film had a bit too much filler, making the sitting experience feel like it was dragging on too long. The 2 hour movie felt like it went on for 3.5 hours.

Could not help but think of the movie Clueless.
