Move over Independence Day, there’s a new mindless and excessive yet entertaining sci-fi action movie to watch on 4th of July weekend. It earns points for cool creature design and Sam Richardson’s impeccable comedic relief.

This movie raised a lot of questions. The father’s freak out as if he couldn’t change the future was confusing. And when they went into the ship to have a plan of killing one at a time instead of a way to deploy the poison at once was baffling. Needless to say we watched the entire film and it generated conversation over the characters approach to obstacles.

It was ok. The dialogue was not the best. It did keep my attention.

It is a decent movie with an alright but somewhat confusing story.
