It was a good movie.

A complex portrait of womanhood and trauma in the 21st Century. A thrilling vehicle for Carey Mulligan to flex acting muscles we haven’t seen in this bold way. Makes you want to go burn down the patriarchy.

I loved Carey Mulligan and what the movie has to say about the sins of the past and rape culture as a whole. The ending felt meh to me. Tonally I did not like the acting from Al’s character and his friend Jason who helped him cover up Carey Mulligans body it felt, slapsticky and it just kind of ruined the tone for me. But overall I would recommend the movie and I already have.

Clever narrative. Unpredictable ending…..never quite sure where the script was going (which I like).
