Great story of an amazing man, but Mel Gibson mis-cast the main character's parents. Hugo Weaving & Rachel Griffiths, although great actors, aren't convincing as the war hero's parents. The story ends abruptly, instead of reuniting the main character w/ his fiancee. That would've been a more powerful ending.

great action, beautiful cinematography for such a violent movie, strong characters. Great to see Vince Vaughn in a 'serious' role.

It's an exciting and inspiring drama. Hacksaw Ridge is an action film with heart. At times it is also a humorous and romantic coming-of-age story. Very well directed and perfectly cast.

Very good movie would liked too know more of how he got home and how he could. With the war.
