It makes me very sad to think the Americans were responsible for this treatment. I thought we were better than that. Even though terrorists were responsible for 3,000 + American and international Deaths, persecuting and treating all the detainees at Guantanamo in this manner and for so long was beyond inhumane and cruel. I though the movie was excellent and very well done. I am very sad but glad Mohamedou was able to return to his country and have a life.

Good film

The best film of the year. It will stay with me for a long time. Everyone should see this to have a better understanding of how justice was avoided by our government in the name of 9 11. Very little has been shared about the atrocities in Guantanamo until now. The acting,‘direction and story are outstanding. Bravo to the team who made this film.

Intense drama. Well made. Informative on Enhanced Interrogation Techniques used at Gitmo Tahar Rahim command of the English language exceeded Mohamadou's command of the English language in real life. Mohamadou can speak English but his word choice and grammar are still sometime not correct. However, as portrayed in the film by Tahar Rahim, you do not see that reality. Also I noticed the names of some of the characters were changed..like MG Geoffrey Miller was changed to General Geoffrey Mandel Although likeness of the prison was quite similar to the actual Guantanamo facilities ( I served at Gitmo while in the U.S. Army), I was still able to notice things about the prison that were not accurate.
