The majority of the references felt forced and just too much.

Visually very good, but the dialog was childish. Overall theme and the game story were really good, but the real world dystopia story was not fleshed out well and felt like a Disney movie.Overall, a good cinematic experience

The biggest draw of the film are the nostalgic/pop culture sweet spots that it hits. It was better than expected. Having said that the movie itself doesn't feel like a Steven Spielberg film. Overall it is a solid movie, I just wonder if it would have had the same resonance without those references.

Can be quite childish and predictable with several plotlines not adding up, but worth seeing for the amazing graphics and references to both gaming and pop culture. You don't have to be a strict gamer to identify with and get excited at the references.
