This movie was much more than I expected. I never knew that this had actually happened. I thought that this story was very well told. It was very emotional. During disturbing scenes thankfully not graphic. It was a terrible time in history shown in a tamer way than it could have been. Much of the gentleness was felt through Antonina. Very well played by Jessica. She was a kind, caring person who had a way with words. A softening touch., and gentle look about her. Yet strong and determined. I felt throughout the film we went thru a harsh scene and then brought back down thru her gentleness.

Very well done, loved the story, acting, and animals. Great movie!

Loved the movie, very heavy and very emotional. Kept my mind racing to see what would happen next, the animals were very beautiful. The actors and actress were exceptionally well played. Loved the fact that the movie was based on a true story; I love jessica chastain as an actress.

Excellent movie.
