Mark Rylance is an excellent actor let down by a movie that gets progressively more self-indulgent and ridiculous. The tone is off and the writing is all over the place.

It was too slow for me and rather boring. I didn’t know any of the actors but felt like the “bad guys” weren’t the right people for the roles. My friend that I brought with me fell asleep. Good twist in the ending it just moved too slow for me.
