This film was so good. Loved every moment of it.

I loved the cinematography and the performances, especially Kidman and Dafoe and Björk. The fight sequences were really well choreographed and shot. I found the film compelling all the way through and was very engaged the entire runtime. I really enjoyed The Northman.

It’s well crafted by Eggers, admirable as filmmaking but content wise my least fav of his films thus far. Comparable to The Green Knight, perhaps more casual audience friendly (yet also more brutal). Loved the darker elements. Not necessarily emotionally engaging at any point, but artistic achievement aplenty.

Beautiful film. Incredible cast. Only downside is that it's highly predictable.
