LOVE Kara

Good movie! I think they really nailed her backstory, by making her her own character rather than just a female Superman. She’s a conflicted superhero who is running from her past and doesn’t always make the best decisions. The fight scenes were a blast. I’m excited for more “Super” movies!

Action scenes were incredible and beautifully shot. I wish the plot line on the stolen women/girls was established more.

I liked how Kara had to grow up a little during this story—how taking Ruthie under her wing made her realize that she could make better choices and how she used her own parents’ advice to advise Ruthie of a better path forward in that her family lives on through her in the same way Kara represents her family’s legacy. It’s a good message and makes Kara a worthwhile hero, especially as she processes her own grief and copes with her trauma.
