I read the book and felt that the movie was artistically rendered. It was beautifully filmed and acted . The writing was excellent except for a few lines near the end of the film. While too long at 21/2 hours, I did not get fidgety or distracted.

Excellent cast and great story!

Kept my attention throughout. Excellent performances by the actors.

I enjoyed the twist in the movie & the suspense to know who stole the portrait that reminded him of his mother
