Manchester By The Sea is a quirky movie that I enjoyed. Casey Affleck is excellent as the dark character who is down on his luck. The numerous flashbacks fill in the holes in the story and we find out how he got to that place. I would highly recommend this movie as I enjoyed it immensely. Matthew Broderick was funny as the Christian.

Such a profoundly funny and sad film, full of intimate moments and interesting characters. Highly recommended.

Well written, acted and directed. Characters were believable and people you would care about. I wish the main character wpuld have grown enough to get past his past.

My friend and I thought the acting was superlative. Bit of a lull in plot before midpoint, then very strong until finish. My friend was a bit confused by so many flashbacks, but I was fine with them. Would recommend to others.
