Fantastic film. Beautiful art, animation and story telling. The voice actors were excellent and the overall message was very touching. My only criticism is the confusing pan-Asian aspect of it. A clearly Japanese story with Chinese divergences and imagery that might cause young people to confuse them.Otherwise, I would still recommend this film to anyone. Take your kids!

It's beautiful and has a lot to do with Alzheimer's and grief and closure. Fantastic film, just wish the cast wasn't so white washed.

Laika-the goth sister of Disney-gives us another movie worthy of applause. It is a heartfelt tale of familial bonds told through stop motion so seamless and set details so intricate, they actually trancends the story itself. However, the theme of death and destruction is pervasive throughout so I wouldn't recommend it for kids 3 and younger. Otherwise,it is definitely a must-see for everyone else!
