PTA doesn’t miss. DiCaprio is hilarious. Sean Penn is a maniac. Chase Infiniti gives a dynamite performance as well. This movie felt like it existed in the same universe as Ari Aster’s Eddington. Johnny Greenwood’s score keeps the viewer on edge and makes the 2 hours and 40 minutes of runtime roll by like a sports car careening down an empty road. My one small complaint is that of all the PTA films that showcase pop music, I think this has my least favorite selections. Great movie. I expect Oscar noms are in the future. Probably top 5 (maybe #1) movies for 2025.

I was haunted by One Battle After Another. It was the highest stakes of any Paul Thomas Anderson film. It’s towering.
