The acting, writing and directing were on point. A great crime drama.

The film builds tension effectively through strong cinematography and an atmospheric instrumental soundtrack. James receives meaningful character development, and his arc anchors the story. However, the film struggles by balancing too many character storylines at once, leaving several unresolved and competing for the viewer’s attention. The twist involving the cop stealing the diamonds feels unearned, and James’s decision to return to Los Angeles is confusing given the limited development of his relationship. Despite these issues, the film’s mood, pacing, and performances keep it engaging.
