I really liked the movie. I liked the concept of the meteor destroying the planet. There were a couple parts that were unbelievable. For instance, the government selected this family to go to the shelter. They had the ability to hack into the family's tv to send them a message but they had no record of the son's medical history. I expected the military in Greenland to be monitoring the skies to shoot down anything that came into their air space. Also, if the US knew that a comet was coming, where were all of the artillery that our current president brags we have? They could have tried shooting them and breaking them into smaller pieces. Now putting those aside, I get that this is a "movie" and I still love the far fetched ideas. The family aspect of them being separated, but the underlying love for each other kept them together was great.
