Was lot of action. Some parts too graphic and was waiting for a bit more regarding the ending. Overall was a good movie, like the beginning of saving private Ryan but about 40 minutes of the movie.

I good story and awesome special effects.

Mel is back!! after a long absence, mel gibson demonstrates what we have missed from him. an excellent movie, with a strong cast, brings forth an excellent portrayal of desmond's life, and the brutality of war. developed a real feeling for the heroism of his accomplishments on the ridge, along with a respect for the japanese warriors. music too heavy in the first half.

The movie was very well done, and the lead (Andrew Garfield) was a convincing and strong actor, carrying the film on narrow shoulders with convincing ease. While the tone of the film takes on a preachy feel, it does make sense given the main character's religious convictions. There was a significant amount of violence, which at times was uncomfortable to watch - but war should be uncomfortable.
