The film offered a new interesting perspective on the death of Jesus which made the first half of the film something that I had not though about before. The second half felt as if the lead character was just along for a ride for a story that I had already read about and seen before. It should have focused more on the Roman perspective throughout instead of starting with the Roman perspective, but then switching to the Christian perspective.

The movie started out strong and then tge action dissipated. Story was good.

I went in with no background on the movie and thought it was a solid effort but at times it felt like there was humor involved to lighten the movie up which is fine but I felt that it "dumbed down" the characters at times - particularly Bartholomew. I thought the take from the Tribune's perspective was good. It just fell a little flat for me personally.

I liked the film but thought it was alittle drawn out. I really didn't know what to expect from the film in the beginning. I liked the idea behind it but I guess I was just surprised to see Jesus appear in person. That to me made the movie seem more unreal.
