entertaining and humor in right places - THIS ONE I WOULD PAY TO SEE!

The entire plot revolves around a stereotypical misfit girl who runs away with the first guy to call her pretty, even though she knows he's lying to her (not that getting into cars with honest strangers is something teenagers should be encouraged to do either). The two other women are also tropes. One can't have kids (so obviously no man wants her) but ultimate realizes she wants one. The other is a successful female in a STEM field... who (spoiler) of course got there by sleeping with her boss. Then we have the absentee father who finally steps up after 16 years and doesn't even get a dirty look for literally abandoning his kid on another planet. Throw in the subpar special effects, completely made up science, and predictably cheesy lines and you have a 1-star movie. Not to mention... having Gardner's mother-figure literally train his girlfriend to be with him? Creepy.

I didnt It like at all, it's like a very bad Disney movie. The story line, while original, was weak and the characters were not developed well. I didn't have any attachment to any of them. The action scenes and the kids running away was unbelievable. The scene where they just in to someone that knew the Shaman was silly. And the sleeping bag scene...inappropropriate, they were kids! It did need filler but that was uncomfortable. When I was leaving the theatre some younger kids were talking about how they liked it, they were about 8-10, so maybe that's be demographic, but then defiantly remove the sleeping bag scene.

This firm was thoroughly unenjoyable for anyone over the age of 10. My girlfriend felt the naked tent scene was weird. We also both fell asleep. Very boring. Two thumbs down.
