It was unexpectedly funny and also provided a great peek into the Chinese culture. It also featured the best wedding scene in a movie that I've even seen. I would absolutely recommend this movie to friends and family. Actually immediately after leaving the film I called my Mom to tell her she must see it.

Overall it was enjoyable and a good combination of drama & comedy. I loved how the ladies were reading from the Bible in a small group study. Very human how the ladies were engulfed in gossip was a good example of how we can get swept away if we don’t fix our eyes and hearts on Christ. The scenes were breathtaking from the home and property to the city.

Great depiction of southeast asian Chinese culture. What a nice change to see Hollywood embracing diversity
