Very original! It didn’t feel like I was watching a movie with actors. It seemed like real people that truly are deaf and are really a family working as fishermen. There were so many feel good moments specifically when she sang for her father in the bed of the pick up truck and he placed his hands on her vocal cords. And when she signed well at the Berkeley music school audition.

This is a great film with a wonderful story. I love how all of the characters were portrayed but especially the difficulties deaf folks often encounter.

This movie was unexpected, heartwarming, and moving. I got emotional many times, in the best way! I would highly recommend to anyone whether they asked or not. 5 stars!

I really enjoyed this beautiful family oriented story. I loved that this story showcased CODA. I cannot tell the last time I saw sign language used in film—it was refreshing. I laughed, cried and rooted for Ruby.
