There's a lot to love and alot to dislike here. Some character arcs feel out of character and come from left-field compared to their previous appearances in the MCU. Many of the cameos act as fan service and add little to the narrative of the film. However, the action setpieces are very strong. The visual style feels uniquely Raimi and relishes in horror elements throughout.

Creative graphics and action sequences only marred by plot ambiguities. Interesting take on the multiverse experiences of characters, Dr. Strange, Christine and Wang.

In all fairness, I haven't seen many of the movies that tie into this one. So, I was pretty lost. That said, the acting, effects, and plotline (that I could follow as a stand-alone movie) -- were definitely there. If I'd seen more of the movies that tie into it (other than a couple of the Spider-Man movies) -- I'm sure I would have rated it much higher. And, don't miss the 2 post-credit scenes

It was plenty of action and surprises to keep you entertained. It started off right away with a fight scene. You could not call this movie slow! \r\rBut, as a MCU fan, it did not meet my expectations. I don't follow the comics as much so I am not sure if this was true to the comic book but I just feel the focus was on more action and less about the storytelling I come to love about Marvel.
