Slickly made, well acted and played strictly straight. Will likely be heavily used as a propagandistic recruiting tool by some. A reasonably buffed Joseph Fiennes sells and seals this story completely. The only, likely unintentional, humorous aspect of this film is the casting of Cliff Curtis, who currently stars in AMC TV's FEAR THE WALKING DEAD. Curtis plays his part seriously and with much warmth, if not charisma... but also invites humorous parallels between resurrection and zombies.

I enjoyed the angle of the Resurrection story through the eyes of a nonbeliever. The scale of the film at times felt small for such a sweeping story, however the costumes and set design more than compensated. Very strong performances throughout the film. Nice work by Fiennes and Curtis in particular who has very little screen time.

I think the movie could be a little bit better if there are more cinematic effects added. Also, the movie is best screened in a stadium type (angle) theater compared to a standard type (flat) theater. The views are always blocked by a tall person when sitting in a flat standard theater (very uncomfortable ).

The visuals were stunning, the setting and the cinematography were very pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately I didn't feel the main character Clavius went through enough change, I was expecting more of a 180 when he came to believe. The interrogations also seemed a little to lengthy. The movie did wrap up nicely, the characters were likeable.
