great show

Solid, old-fashioned sports movie. Principals do a good job. Some nice action sequences and takes on recruiting, player mentality, etc. Of course, this story could never take place today, for a number of reasons, many of which are a good thing, like more concern for player health and safety. Doesn't take away from the story of individual determination and grit.
