Too dark for kids.

To Me.... Slow. Didn’t know it Was Subtitled. I am not one to have to read my movies. I left early and was checked out 10mins into the film. Truly Thankful for No Profanity and No Violence.

This felt like a national geographic film, but more graphic. This film was not in English so translations had to be read. It was a story about how a boy survived and how a wolf and the boy interacted. While wolves are close in dna to dogs I don't feel saying this is why they're man's best friend was the best route. I also felt like the 3d was pointless and could have done without. There was one scent where 3d was obvious but even then it wasn't needed. And the other portions could have been 2D.

Overall the movie drags and constantly switches from day to night. Actors speak foreign language and you are forced to read subtitles which gets tiring after a while. Even though the place and time takes twenty thousand years ago somewhere in Europe, the characters clothes do not correspond to that era. The clothes are very well stitched, almost like high end fall/winter fashion show. The materials and its stitching is finely crafted and yet, they struggle to make fire.
