I fully expected to hate the movie, but I was pleasantly wrong. I think it would have been better to call the virus something different, even if it was called an unknown virus, because it didn't explain what the virus was or its symptoms and because some people (somehow) thought this was based on actual events just because it was called "covid-23." Maybe I missed it, but I would have liked more details about Piper's daughter's illness and why she was so high risk. I really enjoyed having more than one story line to follow. I was bored at the synopsis mentioning just the main love story, but really enjoyed the singer/songwriter side story and the failing marriage. I would definitely watch this again, but mostly because I missed some dialogue due to my terrible computer speakers. Not bad for a PG style movie.

This had a lot of well known actors in it, but it really wasn’t as good as it potentially could have been. Aside from the Covid plot, which we are sadly living but thankfully not to that extreme, it didn’t get too deep with any of the characters and their situations. It wasn’t the worst movie, but it also wasn’t the best.

I like the two main characters (Sara and Niko) and the singer who lived in the motel and the military vet. I didn't like the ending, which was good for our two main stars, but seems like the rest are stuck in gross LA in quarantine for who knows how long. I was also concerned for the singer--was she going to get sick after the old guy kissed her without the mask--the movie didn't answer that as far as I understood. Also, the supposedly immune people were the ones gross and sweaty, which was weird when Sara looked perfect and even had perfect lipstick after caring all night for her sick relative.
