The movie has a typical storyline of teens gone missing and someone wrongfully accused of the crime. Even though he is not tried for the crime, his weak attempts at being an outsider/bad boy doesn't work. The characters are boring and/or underdeveloped. This would work better as a series on Quibi, Neflix, etc., not as a movie

Was a little boring. Almost fell asleep. Plot wasn't that good.

A movie of simple observations and feelings retold by a 16 year old boy, á la John Boy Walton, about a tragic event. Chosen Jacobs is a fresh face, and hopefully, better films are in his future.Queen Latifah plays a bit role unworthy of her star appeal/status that adds nothing to the film. Her role could be played by anyone and it would have similar effect. See it, but don’t expect much.

When the Streetlights Go On was entertaining enough to keep us watching until the end. However, the acting and storyline left a little room for improvement. It was painfully clear that this was meant for high school age students. The ending was a bit lack-luster, too. This was also a different type of experience as they took you through a series of 9 minute shows. New doors are open now....
