Excellent film!

I enjoyed it

Relatable. Artistic. Visually appealing period piece. I love that this film brings a great figure back into the spotlight. The movie manages to cover so many facets of injustice and hardship without diving too deep, while simultaneously maintaining a balance that isn't alienating.\rFor me, this film was engrossing enough to help me block out the disruptive, ignorant audience members around me.

Great story. The lead actress needs some training, as her lip-syncing of the opera parts was distractingly bad. The lead actor is a star!
